GERI 5813. Interdisciplinary Geriatric Care. 3 Credit Hours.
Prerequisites: By Permission.
Crosslisted: AHS 5813, PHSC 5813, NURS 5813. This course is an introduction to interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to health care of the elderly. It shows the importance of working together, and how team work will benefit the patient. It considers current issues in geriatric care and how different professions can interact for better patient care.

GERI 8000. Art and Medicine. 80 Clock Hours.
Prerequisites: None. Students explore art and medicine to expose talent, enrich insight, gain perspective, build powers of observation and empathy. Presents artists and physicians subjecting medicine to the pen and brush and more. Ponder art in the human face, x-rays or instrument design, cope with disease and celebrate heath. Lectures alternate with assignments.

GERI 9250. Geriatrics and Community Medicine. 160 Clock Hours.
Prerequisite: 4th Year medical student at the School of Community Medicine (or by permission).
This is a four week required clinical experience designed to expose medical students in the School of Community Medicine to the principles and practice of geriatric and community medicine. Students will be taught via various didactics, simulations, site visits, and direct patient care. (R; I)
